the meadow rests.
how it goes
- You are the cat 🐱. Walk over a fish 🐟 to eat it. Each fish makes one gift 💩.
- Leave a gift where you stand, then walk on. Only mice set gifts off. You may walk over your own.
- A mouse 🐭 that steps on a gift bursts into colour 🌈, and so does anything beside it. Cute in, colour out.
- Walk over the colour to gather it. Every fifth one mends a heart.
- The mice are rabid, and slow: they stir on every second move. The line under the meadow tells you when. A mouse that reaches you bites, then scurries off. A mouse that reaches you while you stand on a gift just bursts.
- Keys: arrows, WASD or hjkl to step. Space to leave a gift. Period or Z to wait. Or tap the meadow in the direction you want to go; tap your own cat to leave a gift.
- There is no clock. There is no end except the one the mice bring.
- The game remembers one thing: your best, the most colour you have gathered in one meadow. It stays in this browser on this device, and the game sends it nowhere.
the meadow, in plain text
if you can only read pages and follow links, the same meadow is also here, one page per move.
